Islamic Knowledge

An online academy where courses, payments, the bookshop and certificates all live in one place.

Islamic Knowledge teaches Qur'an, tajweed, Arabic and the Islamic sciences to students who study in the evenings around work and family. We rebuilt the whole platform: the learning, the store and the admin behind them.

01 · The challenge

The academy had outgrown its first platform. Courses, payments and the shop lived in separate places. Paid lessons needed protecting, so they couldn't be downloaded or skipped through, and courses had to be sold as one-off purchases, instalments or subscriptions. Students needed somewhere calm and fast to study, and the team needed to run it without a developer.

02 · What we built

We designed a warm 'Morning Light' identity of ivory, gold and navy, then built the product underneath it. Learners get a protected lesson player with notes, bookmarks and transcripts, quizzes that unlock the next lesson, and certificates anyone can verify online. The store sells printed books alongside reader editions that open in the browser. Behind it, one admin runs courses, orders, shipping, members and articles.

The player tracks how far you've watched. Rewind freely, but try to jump ahead and it stops you. Notes, bookmarks and a live transcript sit alongside.
